The first-ever seminar in the LPR on hepatopancreatobiliary surgery using ELEPS ICG technology was successfully held in Luhansk.

A landmark event for the region’s healthcare system took place at the Luhansk Republican Clinical Hospital — the first-ever school-seminar in the LPR, “Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery in the Practice of the General Surgeon.” The event brought together leading Russian experts and physicians from the Luhansk People's Republic, marking an important step in the development of high-tech surgical care.

As part of the program, participants discussed modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the liver, pancreas, and bile ducts, as well as innovative minimally invasive surgical techniques. Particular interest was drawn to the practical session dedicated to laparoscopic cholecystectomy using ICG fluorescence imaging.

The practical session attracted special attention. Under the guidance of Mikhail Kosachenko, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Vinogradov University Clinical Hospital, Moscow, and with the support of ELEPS LLC, a master class on laparoscopic cholecystectomy using ICG fluorescence was held. This “smart” technology allows surgeons to visualize anatomical structures with maximum precision, making operations significantly safer.
