Dried blood and tissue debris are difficult to remove, reduce the effectiveness of disinfection and sterilization, and shorten the lifespan of endoscopes. For cleaning, place the endoscope in a container filled with a cleaning solution, and brushes and sponges are used to remove blood and other impurities. Then rinse with warm tap water and dry. Disinfection and sterilization. The endoscope is designed for disinfection and sterilization using chemical, liquid, or gaseous methods. For liquid processing, it is permitted to use Endodez [http://endodez.ru], Virkon, Lisetol, Lizoformin-3000, Saidex, 70% ethyl alcohol and many other agents. The use of hydrogen peroxide and other strong oxidizing agents (e.g., ozone) is prohibited! These substances have an extremely negative effect on the adhesive joints of the endoscope. All agents must be used strictly in accordance with the instructions for use, adhering to the recommended solution concentration and exposure time. ATTENTION! Immersing endoscopes in liquid for more than 45 minutes is not recommended! After the chemical liquid sterilization cycle, it is necessary to rinse the endoscope in sterile water and wipe the surfaces of the protective glass of the eyecup, distal lens and light-guide connector (!) with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol. For all disinfection and sterilization methods, the temperature of the exposure environment should not exceed 100?C, while sudden temperature changes are not allowed!
