The noise situation in the capital is unfavorable and is expected to only worsen. Although, in fact, it has no room for worsening: today the average noise level in Moscow is 80 decibels, in the metro - 100, while 120 are needed to rupture the eardrum. It is now very difficult to assess the situation with deafness in Moscow, and in the country as a whole, noted Evgeny Garov. The fact is that in recent years the medical examination system has been destroyed. Most Muscovites turn to doctors only in case of advanced diseases, injuries, being in a terrorist attack zone, and so on, that is, in cases where there is serious damage to the middle ear and eardrums.
