A new method of rhinoplasty for rhinolordosis
04.04.2007
It is known that the nose is the most important factor in determining the aesthetics of the face. Changing the shape and size of the nose can dramatically affect a person’s appearance. This is one of the main reasons why nose surgeries are among the most common. Rhinolordosis (saddle nose) is one of the most common deformities of the external nose. The most common causes of rhinolordosis are injuries, technical errors during operations on the nasal septum, suppuration of a hematoma of the nasal septum with melting of the cartilaginous framework, and specific infections. In the vast majority of cases, when performing rhinolordosis plastic surgery, it is necessary to use a wide variety of plastic materials of both biological and non-biological origin. Additional surgical trauma during autograft removal, resorption or rejection of allografts, deformation and change in the position of implants in the late postoperative period make the search for more advanced plastic materials necessary and highly relevant.
