The first conference on modern laser technologies for the treatment of BPH in the Ural Federal District

A master class entitled "Modern Laser Technologies in the Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. Holep/Thulep – a 21st Century Surgery" was held at the Sverdlovsk Passenger Station Railway Hospital of Russian Railways. The event was sponsored by ElePS LLC and Delrus CJSC. This is the first event entirely dedicated to the latest methods of treating BPH, namely holmium and thulium laser enucleation of the prostate. During the master class, two thulium laser enucleation surgeries were performed, with live broadcasts from the operating rooms. The surgeries were performed by Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Uronephrology and Human Reproductive Health, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, PhD. Dmitry Viktorovich Enikeev and Yakov Valerievich Bershadsky, MD, Head of the Urology Department at the Sverdlovsk Passenger Station of Russian Railways, National Healthcare Institution "Railway Hospital at the Sverdlovsk Passenger Station." It should be noted that Dmitry Viktorovich is a leading specialist in the use of holmium and thulium laser enucleation for prostate adenoma removal. D.V. Enikeev's laser adenoma removal technique has received international recognition and has been presented at congresses of the European and American Urological Associations. Participants in the master class were introduced to the modern Russian Quasar laser endourology system, based on the high-power Urolaz laser system for a variety of urological procedures, including laser enucleation of the prostate.
