Rustam Minnikhanov personally inspected the progress of the reconstruction of the oncology dispensary

On August 29, 2015, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the new building of the Republican Clinical Oncology Dispensary (RCOD). Rustam Minnikhanov was joined for the inspection by Asgat Safarov, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan; Adel Vafin, Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan; Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Public Utilities of the Republic of Tatarstan; Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan; and others. As a reminder, the RCOD celebrated its 50th anniversary in March of this year. Initially, the main building was located on Baturin Street. However, in 2013, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan decided to relocate the oncology dispensary to the former City Hospital No. 15, located at 31 Sibirsky Trakt Street. Following this, extensive preparatory work began on the reconstruction of the former emergency hospital building. During the official visit, the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan personally assessed the progress of the reconstruction, familiarized himself with the deadlines for the completion of the facility, the plan for relocation, equipment installation, and the prospects for improving the provision of oncological care to the population of the Republic of Tatarstan after the completion of all work. A large diagnostic block was organized on the first floor: ultrasound diagnostics, an X-ray department, a CT room, interventional radiology, and an endoscopic department. The first oncology department of interventional radiology in the republic, including fluoroscopic, ultrasound, and endoscopic navigation, will soon open here. The main focus of this department will be endovascular manipulations under angiographic control. The following surgical departments will be located in the RCO building from the second to the fourth floors: - General Oncology; - Soft Tissue and Musculoskeletal System Department; - Head and Neck Tumor Department No. 2; - Two oncology departments; - Mammology. The fifth floor includes modern operating rooms and intensive care units. It is worth noting that during the reconstruction, much attention was paid not only to the appearance, but also to the technological equipment of the dispensary. Thus, during the reconstruction, the latest devices and equipment were purchased.
