After extensive renovation and restoration work, the children's inpatient department of the Leninogorsk Central District Hospital reopened. Acting President Rustam Minnikhanov personally visited the hospital on August 22, 2015, to assess the changes. As a reminder, large-scale renovation work on the children's inpatient department began in January of this year. The renovation included remodeling the interior, replacing both internal and external utility systems, cladding and insulating the facade, and replacing windows and doors. The renovations affected not only the exterior but also the technical equipment of the hospital. For example, an ElePS laparoscopic stand was purchased [http://eleps.ru/katalog/po-vidam-produktsii-komplekty-laparo-torakoskopiya/bazovyy_laparoskopicheskiy_kompleks_2014/], which will help doctors perform modern laparoscopic surgeries, even on the youngest patients. During the inspection, Aidar Yarkayev, chief physician of the children's hospital, informed Rustam Minnikhanov that the hospital comprises five departments, two of which are inter-district centers – the intensive care unit and the pediatric surgery department. These departments provide 24-hour scheduled and emergency care to children in eight districts of the southeastern Republic of Tatarstan. Four thousand patients receive inpatient treatment at the children's inpatient department of the Leninogorsk Central District Hospital.
