Anniversary Russian School of Operative Urology

On May 25-26, 2017, the anniversary Russian School of Operative Urology was held, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the first school of the Russian Society of Urologists (ROU) in Rostov-on-Don. The School program was dedicated to urolithiasis (Day 1) and surgery of complications in operative urology (Day 2). The anniversary scientific program included many interesting events: - live surgery with online broadcast from the operating rooms; - educational seminars on outpatient urology; - satellite symposia; - skills development in the training Center for simulation surgery; - an exhibition of manufacturers of medical urological equipment and instruments. The ElePS company also took part in the exhibition of manufacturers and presented the Quasar laser endourology complex. [ /upload/medialibrary/f32/8.jpg ] Over the course of two days, 30 training surgeries were performed by experienced urologists from all over Russia. In one of the operating rooms, an operation was performed using a domestic thulium laser, which is part of the Quasar laser endourology complex (thulium laser enucleation of prostate hyperplasia en block was performed by surgeon N.I. Sorokin - Research Institute of Uronephrology and Human Reproductive Health at the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov). Educational seminars covered current issues in the following topics: 1) Urolithiasis; 2) DLT and ureteroscopy: pros and cons; 3) Risks in surgical urology; 4) Complications of urological surgery; 5) Symptoms of the lower urinary tract; 6) Infections in urology. As part of the main program of the School, master classes with hand-on training were held: - basic laparoscopy skills; (lecturers - Mikhailov I.V., Bolgov E.N., Shtopt E.V.) - modern percutaneous nephrolithotomy; (lecturers - Grigoriev N.A., Gadzhiev N.K., Akopyan G.N.) - ureterorenoscopy / transurethral surgery of the urolithiasis. (lecturers Grigoriev N.A., Gadzhiev N.K., Akopyan G.N.) Simulators were also very popular among school visitors, where everyone could undergo basic training and try their hand at mastering the basic techniques of endoscopic surgery in urology. Master class teachers are licensed expert-level specialists.
