Finding adequate surgical treatment methods is a pressing issue in rhinology. In this regard, plasma surgery has attracted our attention, as it offers a number of advantages over other surgical treatments for this condition.

Adherence to the principles of traumatism, taking into account the anatomical features in each specific case, allows us to avoid iatrogenic complications, improve the course of the postoperative period, and, most importantly, minimize the risk of restenosis of the frontal sinus orifice.

In 110 examined patients with traumatic disease of the nose (TDN), fibroendoscopy or rigid endoscopy using endoscopes with 0° and 30° were used to clarify the characteristics of changes in the intranasal structures, mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx.

Currently, the leading diagnostic methods for sphenoiditis are computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (CT and MRI). CT and MRI results cannot be 100% reliable in diagnosing sinusitis, as CT and MRI often overdiagnose.
