Currently, the leading diagnostic methods for sphenoiditis are computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (CT and MRI). CT and MRI results cannot be 100% reliable in diagnosing sinusitis, as CT and MRI often overdiagnose.

In our region, there has been an increase in nasal and sinus infections. This increase is due to unfavorable climatic conditions. In winter, cold, damp air, and in summer, salty dust particles irritate the nasal mucosa.
